What The Conservative Vs Liberal Ideologies Produce

By Adela Beasley

We hear about the debate, conservative vs liberal, on many things in the news, daily. The set up and presentation of the facts are not always as true as they could be. The unbalanced way in which they are presented is based on the media bias that is unquestionably there. Finding out what each side actually thinks requires additional research.

John F Kennedy was a classical Liberal, however, his thoughts are now considered Conservative. He wanted to decrease the income tax rates to allow people more or their own money to spend as they see fit. Liberals, now, do not believe that. The changing of this philosophy comes with the changing of the label to Progressive.

Progressives believe that people and their money should be parted, more and more, as these politicians know better about how to spend it. It has caused debt and borrowing at unprecedented levels. BY allowing people to keep more of what they earn, they are in charge of their financial futures and the economy can run as it has, driven by market forces. All of the added debt is considered generational theft by Conservatives.

Progressives like to promote their Pro Choice stance. This position is only on one issue. When asked about parents choosing the best school for their children, they are against that choice. When asked about the availability of guns, most of them will state, emphatically, there should be no guns. Conservatives believe in the second amendment of the US Constitution and all other parts of it.

Appealing to the low information voter in an emotional way, the Progressive will use straw men to build their case for more of the same. This will be promoted as being the fix for something that has failed to work properly or worked to make the issue worse. The break down in the American culture can be traced to the installation of these types of programs that fail every time.

The first amendment does resonate in the minds of most Liberals. The section about the free press is acceptable unless the writing or talk is not supportive of their positions. The religious freedoms, they believe, can be voted away by a majority of the Congress and other concepts, such as freedom from prying eyes and ears, should be sacrificed for the good of the country. Conservatives believe the amendments have been placed there for a reason and recognize the authorized way to amend them.

Progressive ideas are well intended, however, that is as far as they get. Using inaccurate science to create a danger for the entire world, they will ignore the well read notices that state the science is anything but settled. Wanting people to believe that anyone owning a gun makes the world more dangerous flies in the face of the second amendment. Conservatives will have any debate of these important issues because they do know the nature and presence of evil in the world.

In deciding what side to choose in any conservative vs liberal debate, look at where the emotional triggers are being applied. Think about the facts of the issue and where the truth actually is. Look at the tenor of the conversation, what is said and, more importantly, what is not said. The right answer will present itself.
